Innovative Methods for the Management of Varroa destructor

Almost all current varroa treatments are chemical-based, involving the placement of pesticides inside beehives. These chemicals affect the bees and can leave residues in the honey and wax. Our project’s aim is to develop non-chemical methods to control mites in hives.

For this reason, we need your help! We want to develop methods which can help beekeepers manage varroas without using chemicals but at the same time should be practical, efficient and affordable.
